Gosh, it has been so long since I have posted on my creative lenna blog. I do hope to change that in the near future!
I am posting daily on blipfoto -an online photo journal where you are encouraged to post just one photo per day. Then blog or write in addition to posting your photo, if you wish. If you are reading this ON my blog itself you will see a blipfoto box of 16 thumbnails to your right, each representing a day. Click on any one and you can see what I've been up to via my daily blip photos! My blipfoto journal is: www.blipfoto.com/creativelenna
I have some art journaling pages I'd love to add to my blog and share with you. The affirmation journal I have been working in is finally complete! I've been doing a bit of artwork behind the scenes, feeling happy to finish this journal I started almost 2 years ago. I did take a few breaks . . . that's why it took so long, but thinking positively -- it is done and so full of art and affirmations! I am looking forward to starting a new journal, I have one picked out and will probably use the Documented Life Project to get me started by giving me a few prompts.
I've divided up the posts for the final page spreads of my Affirmation Journal into more than one post, so I hopefully won't give you too much to digest at one time. This will also entice me to return to add another post here soon. I started this page spread soon after Steven and I returned from FT Lauderdale, FL and the private preview of the William Glackens exhibit (my Great Uncle) held on my birthday, February 21st, 2014 at the NSU Museum of Art.
It's amazing the exhibit opened on my birthday -like a present to me! The image in the circle is a sticker I received at the event to wear. It's a partial print of the painting, Cape Cod Pier by William Glackens. Please click on the link to see the painting in full.
From the FT Lauderdale Museum of Art website:
I journaled about our experience in FT Lauderdale . . . .
I added my affirmation . . .
I am as yielding and as powerfully unstoppable as water.
The round gold sticker is from the hotel we stayed at, The Riverside.
Steven and I had a great walk along the "Riverwalk" while there.
More soon, I promise.
