life's what you make it

I heard this on pandora radio today and started dancing in my studio . . . then I wanted to share it. When I looked up the song I was surprised to see the single was from 1986 - could that be true?! 25 years ago? wow. One of my favorites, then and now . . .

Baby, life's what you make it
Can't escape it
Baby, yesterday's favourite
Don't you hate it

Baby, life's what you make it
Don't backdate it
Baby, Don't try to shade it
Beauty is naked
Baby, life's what you make it
Celebrate it
Anticipate it
Yesterday's faded
Nothing can change it

Life's what you make it
Celebrate it
Anticipate it
Yesterday's faded
Nothing can change it
Life's what you make it

-singer/songwriter Mark Hollis of the band Talk Talk, 1986

Another big time favorite of mine is It's my Life by the same band. I guess you could say I still like that 80's music! I hope you enjoy . . .  lenna

  4. unfortunately this video can´t be watched here in Germany (because of copyright issues), but I´ve just watched a whole 1986 concert of Talk Talk last month and have been blown away by it, it has been like a drug ... how could I forget how great they´ve been?

  5. oh marion, I agree. I used the youTube link in my post to play a whole bunch on songs from talk talk, then made a radio station on pandora and remembered all kinds of other similar styles I listened to that are still so good. Brian ferry, Roxy Music, Depechemode, the smiths, psycadelic Furs . .. I have been revisiting this good music all day!! : 0 ) thanks for letting me know!

  6. Oh I remember this and I had a look in the cupboard and found that I have it on an "80's" CD that were very popular here a few years ago. I remember it well [artly because it came out the year i left school. I also have a copy and love the second title too. You brought back some memories with this post.
    xx
