about us

Lenna Andrews and her husband Steven Deming moved from Avon, Connecticut to Bradenton, Florida in December of 2009. This photo was taken at the pirate wench party at Lucas Boatworks in 2011. Steven works at Lucas Boatworks building custom kayak and stand-up paddles, assisting with the boat finishing process, plus building beautiful tables. It was Lenna's dad who first introduced Steven to Lucas Boatworks. They originally moved to Florida to be near Lenna's family during her father's illness. He suffered from colon cancer that metastasized to his liver. Sadly, he passed away on October 1, 2011 after a three year fight. A photo tribute Lenna created about her father is here. Steve and Lenna were honored to be able to spend as much time with him as they did. They both have come to love Florida so much that they will continue to live in their new home in Bradenton, just down the street from Lenna's mom.

Lenna has been a creative girl as long as she can remember. She blames this on her mom, dad and her entire family! She says, "I love making things and I am almost always working on something. Creating calms me. It also brings me great joy and I think my pieces reflect this". Lenna loves art challenges, art exchanges and sharing. She works with fabric and other mixed-media art materials and she teaches both online and in-person workshops. View her online workshops here and go to to her website to view her in-person workshops. All classes are available to be scheduled at your convenience.

Lenna has been published over 50 times since 1994 in magazines, books, and online. Here's a sampling of where she's been published: RubberStampMadness (RSM), Vamp Stamp News (VSN), Expression Magazine, Somerset Studio, ARTitude Zine, Sew Somerset, Rubber Stamper, Belle Armoire, Stitch (UK), Artista Zine, A Somerset Wedding, Transparent Art, The Stamp Artist's Project Book, Altered Books 101, New Techniques for Wearable Art, The Art of Fabric Books, and 1000 Artist's Journal Pages.
