Royal Poinciana Tree

I had never seen a Royal Poinciana Tree until I lived in Florida. I think it is one of the most amazing flowering trees I have ever seen, and this one is right around the corner from me! Click on the photos for more details if you dare!

Hi Lenna!
What an absolutely amazing tree! The flowers look a bit like a hibiscus or azalea but I think it's the combination of the orange and green that makes it so eye-catching. Wow!

I have never heard of that tree-it is gorgeous! One of the things I miss here in Montana is flowering trees like Magnolia. Pretty!

I know, isn't this a most amazing tree! When I first saw it I could not believe it and i still marvel at it. The color IS really intense, Sharon. Plus they are HUGE trees. The flowers remind me of Alstroemeria that you buy as a bouquet . . .
