Mermaid Slide Mailers for Alpha Stamps swap!

I created these mermaid theme slide mailers for an Alpha Stamps swap through their yahoo group -- all images and the slide mailers themselves (plain brown to start) are from Alpha Stamps! Oh yeah -- so are the mermaid charms on the front of the mailers, the green leaf ribbon and the irridescent glass spheres! : )

These slide mailers started out plain but quickly had colour added to them with a sptritz of Adirondack color wash, in bottle green, all over. Then I sponged on metallic emerald (jacquard textile), Indigo (jacquard Lumiere) and Halo blue green - an interference Jacquard color (color changing). There is info about these paints on the company's website.

All the water and mermaid images have me thinking of spending the next two weeks on the St. Lawrence River -while I am visiting Wolfe Island in Ontario Canada! : ) I will be back August 11th.
